The intersection and Marine Drive beautification at Park Royal was developed as a solution to try to create a more urban and accessible solution to the existing mall and overpass system.  The pedestrian overpass and the west vehicle overpass were replaced with an intersection, at grade crossings and a beautified median on Marine Drive.  This also included parking lot redesigns
